Born out of the necessity to break free from past musical constraints, Stalefish is a vibrant 6-piece band driven by the desire to explore new musical horizons. Formed in April of 2023, this ensemble emerged from the dissolution of previous projects (Golden Days, Artificial Death), uniting to create something fresh and invigorating.

Describing their sound as “slacker rock,” Stalefish captures the essence of navigating life’s uncertainties. The music authentically reflects their journey, a testament to their relentless pursuit of passion and a commitment to craft impactful, undeniable music.

A key feature of Stalefish is their hands-on approach, evident in their DIY ethos. Recorded in a bedroom studio, their album, set to debut in January 2024 with Austin-based label Happen Twice, showcases the raw and unpolished nature of their music, highlighting the band’s diverse songwriting talents. With inspiration drawn from iconic bands (Ween, Parquet Courts), Stalefish delivers a unique blend of voices, ensuring each track possesses a distinct identity.
